OXO Good Grips Pro Swivel Peeler

I make mashed potatoes sveral times a week. I misplaced my old peeler. The only ones I could find in my area were cheap plastic junk. so I sprung nearly $13.00 for the OXO and it's worth every Cent. Very sturdy. Ergonomic grip. Feels very comfortable in my hand. Compared to other peelers I've used it requires very little pressure and it doesn't peel exessively below the skin. The eyer works great as well.

This has to be the best peeler ever. It's sharp and works well, and it feels balanced and comfortable in your hand. It's a quality product. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon.

There are professional grade peelers, a decided step up from the standard (and usually less expensive) OXO peeler. They are sturdier, with a more solid feel and additional weight due to the metal (versus plastic) frame. They are extremely comfortable in the hand. I’m not certain but I think the blade might be of a better material too; certainly mine remains incredibly sharp after seven months of daily use. I highly recommend this peeler over the standard peeler. However, if the additional weight might be an issue for you, you might be happier with the standard peeler.

Somehow the old (likely several decades) OXO peeler we had got a ding in the blade and wasn't working as smoothly as it had. First thing I noticed when I opened this one was the weight, and how sturdy it felt. The handle is comfortable and the grip is nonslip even when wet. It is so much sharper than my old one, blade just glides over whatever is being peeled. It was a revelation, didn't realize how much the old one needed to be retired (with honors). I like it so much I send one to multiple family members and they are as happy with it as I am . Great product.

I’ve just used a knife to do my peeling but thought I’d try a peeler, so I went on line to read some reviews. I saw that the OXO Good Grops Pro Swivel Peeler ranked 1 or 2. I decided to give it a try. OMG, how wonderful. I remember using a similar looking peeler when I was a kid and not thinking much of it. This is definitely not your father’s peeler. It has a good sturdy weight to it and it is absolutely sharp. You need apply very little pressure if any when making your strokes and the skin of the potato is easily removed. It also has a very comfortable rubber (?) handle. I 100 % recommend this peeler.

ピーラーといえば横型のものしか 使ったことがありませんでしたが、 こちらを見つけてデザインが気に入り購入しました。 横型のものに比べ場所をとらず 立てておけるのも良い点です。 切れもよく、グリップの握り具合もフィットしていて 替え刃もあり重宝します。

This is a good peeler, and the metal end for removing potato eyes is great. The handle is not too large and has a comfortable grip. This unit doesn't take too much/thick peel from the vegetables. The blade is nice and sharp, so those somewhat "aged" vegetables can still be peeled. I had some soft-ish potatoes with eyes growing of them. This tool was great at taking care of them, too.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Ersatz-Sparschäler, als ähnliches Nachfolgemodell für meinen alten Billigschäler. Hiermit habe ich ihn gefunden. Liegt sehr gut in der Hand, hat eine ausreichend lange Doppelklinge und macht einen robusten, wertigen Eindruck. Ist superscharf und gleitet durch das Gemüse. Wirklich ein Traum. Ich denke mal, für eine zarte Frauenhand dürfte er zu groß und zu schwer und etwas unhandlich sein. Für Männerhände gerade richtig. Und die Männer sollen sich ja im Haushalt auch betätigen. Auch wenn der Sparschäler recht teuer ist, so ist der Preis für die Qualität gerechtfertigt. Der Billigschäler hat jahrelang gehalten, ich vermute, das wird diese Schäler auch, wenn man sich die Verarbeitung und Qualität anschaut. Von mir eine klare Empfehlung, wenn auch nur für Männerhände.

So far Oxo seems to be one of the most consistent reliable brands out there. I have many oxo utensils & they are all great! This peeler is sharp & glides smoothly peeling away skins. It is so comfortable to hold unlike the past thin handle peelers! If you have long nails or suffer from pain in joints & hands thus is for you! I've always tried to steer clear of food needing peeling due to pain & discomfort when holding old thin flat peelers of the past until now! This has to be one of the best peelers out there. I bought a second as a back up due to sale.
