You should also be able to use the screws that came with your MSR. **Q: Does this fit the Romeo 5** A: Yes, it fits well but… the R5 does not quite sit perfectly into the bottom of the mount, it sits very close and the v shaped sides are where they mate together. It is probably MORE secure than if this were reversed. Second, the screws very slightly protrude into the tunnel with back up sights but not enough to be a concern. I have 3 with R5 dots and zero issues with screws, ect. Use a Fat Wrench on 25 in/lbs like any other optic mount. I remove the front sight in the mount, the rear peep works well with an A2 or folding front sight. Run a 4” MPBR calc on your ammo/barrel length but 50/200 will be close for 5.56. This height is a gamechanger. **Q: What affordable red dot will fit this mount? I have the mount but can't figure out which affordable/$200 or less red dot will work with it?** A: Sig Sauer Romeo5 will work, as it's a Micro pattern/footprint. You might find a discounted Romeo4 as well. Any Holosun in the 403, 503 or 515 (they'll be well over $200) will work (also Micro mount pattern). PA MicroDots will also work. Just look for anything that says "Micro" or "TI/T2" mount compatible. **Q: Can this riser attach to a Vortex Venom red dot sight?** A: I have a sig Romeo on mine. I’m not sure those smaller red dots work. I didn’t notice the two mounting screws on top of this riser for mounting the venom or viper. Sorry if this didn’t help. The mount is awesome. No regrets.
