I've not tried it out for making 'noodles' but I imagine it will work well. Pros: It came with an extra o-ring replacement part as well, which I wasn't expecting, but am glad to have available. It comes apart for easy cleaning. Cons: Not really any. It doesn't have any volume measuring capabilities, but that didn't really matter for my purposes. Overall happy with the purchase.

**Q: How is this thing actually used?  I'm unfamiliar with 'making caviar'.  What exactly is that?  Thanks in advance if you can answer my questions!**
A: it's for spherification. Used with food chemicals like sodium alginate and calcium chloride or lactate

**Q: What size is the plastic tube that attaches to the end? Does it stay in well? Thank you**
A: My grand daughter uses it without any tubing and just drops directly from the device. My observation of the fitting appears to be a standard 1/4" tubing.

**Q: Would this work to make fruit pearls out of say strawberries and bananas?**
A: We recommend looking up how the spherification technique works online before purchasing and using this product. You can spherify most liquids but you cannot spherify fruit puree.

**Q: Does it come with the hose for making pasta noodles?**
A: No. You must buy one of our kits to get that.
