In fact, they get grippier (not a word, I know.) I had this one shipped to me in AFG while deployed so I could teach and it got to me quickly and in perfect condition. The more new styles they make, the more mats I will buy. Thank you Mika Yoga Wear for making a beautiful, durable and affordable mat.
