The taste is just like I remember it
Reminds me of my home in England, Scott’s and Trent.

Tasty!
The container is classic-looking. Consistency is between honey and maple syrup. Tastes like a mild butterscotch flavor. Very yummy on vanilla ice cream. Highly recommend.

The best golden syrup
The best golden syrup. Its so thick and easy to use in almost any dessert. This has been my go to golden syrup for years, great value for money through amazon.

Thick and luscious
Besides being sweet, does sugar -- from sugar cane -- have a flavor? It does! And when the sugar boils down into syrup, the flavor comes out. So, okay -- it IS sugar. Politically incorrect. Empty calories.... I know, I know. But whether you take your sugar "naturally" in fruit or honey or "unnaturally" in hiprocessed candies and sugar-coated cereals, the chemical is the same....And the thing is not to get too much. And if I'm going to have a certain amount ANYway, there are days when this is how I want to eat it. Ly'les Golden Syrup is a nice flavor alternative to honey, or maple syrup. The texture is thick like honey, but the flavor is light. It has much more "depth" and thickness than corn syrup. If you like crisp, Belgian waffles, this is great on them --with or without pats of melted butter. My grandma used to use this more than 50 years ago and I started loving it as a kid. She put it in frostings and who knows what else. But I just like it as it is... dip your fingers in and lick them off. Ummmmmmmm.... So why can't you get this stuff in your local supermarket? I can't find it anywhere.... It's because most people don't know about it. And don't know to ask for it, or how or where to get it. I've never seen an ad for this, and it isn't manufactured by one of the megafoodgiant monopolies in the U.S. , but it is worth having. I just wish I didn't have to order it in sufficient quantities to justify the shipping charge. Kind of silly to pay $7 to have a $4 item shipped. So then you buy several... but who has room to store several? And it takes a long time to go through one can of it. LIke, a year. So, if I get three cans, I have enough for three years. Still, it's worth the shipping to get two cans...I want some right now. Too bad I have to wait.

Delicious product but more cushioning needed when packaging
This syrup is so much better to use than corn syrup when making pecan pie! I ordered two cans but one was leaking (with a big dent on the side), and the other one had lots of tiny dents. The bottom of the non-leaking can had some dark sticky stuff on it at the rim so I don't know if that one is viable either. The only walk in store near me that sells this doesn't show the expiration dates on their cans (which is why I order from Amazon). I might have to see if the cans at the walk-in store look better than what I ordered. :(

Great product, terrible packaging issue
Great product, have bought before. Use with baking. It's like if simple syrup and maple syrup had a baby. Thick, sweet, yummy. Usually referenced in English recipes. Amazon, please instruct your packers on the floor that damaged cans should not be boxed and sent. This arrived dented and leaking and it was clearly sent this way. As a food product it is unreturnable. Teach your packers that if they drop a can onto a cement floor - even if it's bubble wrapped - that it should set aside and not boxed.

Anzac Biscuits, yum
A unique flavor reminiscent of molasses, but not different in a good way. Honestly, I only use this for Anzac Biscuits, but it's a must for them to come out right.

looks like a canning issue with seal in metal
I don't know whats happening but the can is now leaking at the seam? The plastic seal is still intact. I AM NOT VERY LEARY TO USE IT, AND SO SAD

Sehr Lecker
Lecker Sirup, den es schon über ein halbes Jahrhundert gibt. Bisschen zu teuer, aber leider in deutschen Discountern schlecht zu bekommen.
