Convenient for storing the adapter when the micro is in use in a device. I put a small label on the outside marked with a sharpie to identify where the micro is being used. Great value for the price!There is a small two-hole tab on one half of the clam-shell that snaps over two "hooks" on the other half so it stays closed. I took away one star because they seem somewhat brittle so I don't expect them to last forever, but I didn't pay a "forever" price either. I suspect that the plastic "hinge" will be the first thing to go. But it might be the hooks and tab fastener. It really doesn't much matter to me though because of the cost being low enough. Whether you’re a film student, Who has one SD card, or professional director who has 52, I would not recommend this to us soul. You may just have to pay the two dollars per SD holder.
