We purchased it for our home several years back and when we made a sliding door for our small seasonal home we knew it work perfectly, which id did. It is perfect for our purposes. Heavy duty and would buy again - I have been wanting a way to keep a door on a particular storage closet in the back of the shop , but not come out and hit the huge vinyl machine used for the business.. So I decide to remove the door being it was a cedar barn door , and hang it with this barn door kit , that way the door slides behind the stands to our equipment.. love it and it looks nice, The mount is very durable , tested with grandkids lol Easy to install, had everything I needed to put it up ..

**Q: With a maximum door panel thickness , how close is the door to the drywall or baseboard?**
A: The maximum door panel thickness is 1 3/4 inch and the distance of the door to the drywall is about 1/8 inch.

**Q: Do I need the piece of wood behind the rail?**
A: If you have casings around your door, you'll need a piece of wood behind the rail at least the same thickness as the casing. If there are no casings around the door you can get away with securing railing directly into the studs. I wouldn't trust only using wall anchors (even heavy duty ones) to support the rail/door.

**Q: Is a 4.75" clearing from my ceiling to the top of the door frame enough space?**
A: I have one installed where rail mount bolts are 4.5” on center from ceiling. There’s maybe 5/8”    clearance to hang/remove door. It’s tight. If you could slide the door on to the rails from the side you might be able to get rail bolt centers as close as 3.75” from top based on what I’m looking at but I’d dry fit before committing

**Q: My door is only 1 inch thick.  Bought the unit failing to consider this.  Is it still possible to use it?**
A: I'm confused about the 1 inch issue, specifications say 3/4 - 1 3/4! 
My door is 11/4 , does this kit accommodate that?
