These Spiral Makers create perfect spirals out of Artistic Wire, German Style Wire and any other soft wire 20 ga 0.81mm (.032-Inch) and smaller. Use colorful spirals to embellish jewelry, scrapbooks and paper crafts. Use small-piece of the diameter wire you intend to make the spiral as a washer on the three screws. Tighten wing nuts and insert the same gauge wire into the device. Center the wire in the center hole and insert the twister handle so the wire is inside the slit on the handle. Twist the handle until the desired size of coil is reached. Tip: count the number of turns to re-create the same size coils for multiple coils, or perfectly matching earring dangles.

This handy "Spiral Maker" is a very good accessory for making good quality wire spirals. We have just started making our own jewelry and wanted to add a little more flair. I love this thing. As you can see my spirals aren’t perfect, but with practice , anyone can use it. Remember if your changing the gauge wire, change your spacer wires also. Great tool, simple to use. Ideas are endless.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ spiral maker

Size 20 wire did not fit well into the "key." I had to file down the end of the wire to get it into the notch on the key. Size 20 wire is not some freaky size; it's a size frequently used for making jewelry, etc. Size 22 works fine. The one drawback is that the spiral it makes is tightly wound, and not aesthetically pleasing. I solved this by winding heavy string in with the wire in order to separate the turns. This procedure takes a few trials, but the results are great.
