Perfect for what I assume you're looking for. Plops right on top of the lightswitch. One second "installation", if you can even call it that. Yeah, these are very inexpensive and may seem "cheap". But they are a very simple and effective solution to prevent accidental switch presses by adults (I don't claim anything either way about small kids). In my case, it keeps ceiling fans and IoT light bulbs from being accidentally shut off - doing so very cheaply and unobtrusively while maintaining the safety of being able to switch them off in an emergency. The magnets (attracted to the plate screws) are adequate - not very strong, but adequate.

What can be said about a clear plastic light switch cover that magnetically stays in place, keeping you from (accidentally / negligently) operating a switch you want to keep in one position (yet still have a quick and easy option to access)? It works as advertised. Easy to install. Visually you hardly notice. Not childproof.

These things are amazing. We got these less for child proofing and more for our new house, where we have weird switches in weird places and smart bulbs we don’t want turned off by switches. They’re basically transparent and have made our downstairs a little easier to use. And the install couldn’t be easier - literally place it there and it fits.

This is awesome! I have two outdoor lights I want to remain on at all times. This requires no installation and keeps anyone from turning those switches off by mistake. Great price too.

They stay in place and do the job. My only complaint is the magnets don’t have a white exterior. It would be better if they colored the exterior of the magnet for white, biscuit, or whatever color your switches are.

These are absolutely fantastic as I installed a wireless receiver into a light switch socket and was wondering how I was going to cover it all up but then I saw this And it solved my problem beautifully. Also, I didn't think about it at the time that I bought them but these are also really good for rooms that have smart bulbs installed in them because it makes it so no one can turn off the switches So I'm happy that the 4 pack was for some reason cheaper than the one pack. I bought it intending only to use one and I'm actually using all four. If you either want to block people from using a switch or want to cover up a hole in the wall where a light switch used to this is the perfect product.

This is the exact thing I was looking for - my furnace switch is nothing but a light switch which people tend to think it operates a light so they always try it this item is perfect prevents them from doing so and best of all no installation- just holds by a magnet - perfect

After reading some reviews saying that they would stop inquisitive toddlers from pressing the switches and that the magnets were strong, we bought them. The prior statements turned out to be inaccurate. My 20 month old (who is big for his age) was immediately able to pull them off. They only serve to delay the inevitable or act as a distraction. If your child is persistent and/or strong, seek a different solution. 3 stars because they do fit on easily and it's not their fault I have a gorilla baby.

Made from good solid plastic. They work well, strong magnets but for perfect switch protection just drill/tap out the magnets and use a longer screw into the factory mounts. Never falls off and stops people accidentally switching it off.
