How pedally are these pedals?

This is my first set of rudder pedals. I have not used real airplane pedals, so have nothing to compare to. They work fine for me. I bought the full bundle which included the yoke, the throttle quadrant, and the pedals for $369. I thought that was a fair price.

Can this be used for racing sims also?

I wouldn't recommend it for racing (where one pedal is gas and one is brakes), as the pedals move in an inverse direction to each other when pressure is applied. It can be done, but only in a pinch.

When I try to calibrate or assign he petals. all I get to select are mt rudder,ailerons and elevators? Nothing to do about the brakes?

Yes, these have differential braking with the toe brakes. If braking functions have been mapped elsewhere, you will need to go to "Settings" in either the flight simulator program and/or the operating system (Input Devices). Depress one toe brake at a time to check the range, then select the appropriate axis (typically X and Y for toe brakes, Z-axis for yaw control aka 'rudder').
