Feels very premium and strong magnetic clasp securely holds when pencil is attached to iPad. Clasp works equally well when no pencil is present. The only issue to be aware of the stand isn’t very good in portrait orientation. The iPad is centered on the back cover so sits front heavy. It’s happened several times that I’ve propped it up in portrait mode only to fall forward by itself after a few seconds. Almost dropped my iPad from a table top this way. You can help this a bit by biasing the iPad down in the case so that when standing it rests on the edge of the iPad instead of the case.
