Plenty of clearance to the bumper. Did have to lift it at a slight angle to move it around the exhaust, but once against the frame rails, was easily held in place with one arm while inserting a bolt on each side to hold it for final fastening. It did NOT include any threadlocker compound. This is normal, so not a slight against the product. I just trust things like this better with some blue threadlocker. A few of the competitors, including some more expensive ones on here, did not extend far enough for my bicycle rack to fold up without hitting the bumper. This one seemed fine on two different bike racks I own. Note it did not come with a hitch ball -- you'll need to get one for it. Review: Came fast and was very high quality. My Nissan is a 2021 Frontier with 5 foot box. **Q: How did you bend the flange/bracket back to shape?** A: We used a foot long punch like tool with a pointed tip. One of us put it through the screw hole in the hitch and in the tapped hole in the Frontier’s frame. Then we put leverage on it to bend the arm of the hitch to the right place while the other screwed in the bolts.
