Our 2017 Explorer's original fob finally gave out after years of daily use, buttons started sticking and the range had gotten noticeably short. Rather then booking a dealer appointment, decided to try replacing it on my own first. Compatibility checked out fine against our specific year, matched the buttons and functions our Explorer actually uses without any extras or missing features. Appearance is close enough to the factory fob that nobody would guess it wasn't original, same button layout and general feel in the hand. Programmability turned out easier then expected honestly, followed a step by step process specific to our model year and had it paired on the first real attempt, no dealer tool required. Ease of use since then has been seamless, locks, unlocks and remote starts respond just as quick as the original did when it was new. Durability so far seems solid, buttons have a firm, confident click rather then the mushy feel some aftermarket fobs get after a short while. Hasn't shown any wear or connection drops through daily use yet. Value here is obvious, saved a real chunk of money over dealer replacement and programming fees for something that functions identically. Only complaint is the little plastic loop for the keyring feels slightly thinner then the original, something I'll keep an eye on over time. Great budget friendly fix for anyone whose original fob is on its way out.

took the risk bc some reviews were bad, but we could return if it didn't work so we bought! IT DIDN"T WORK! So we went to read the reviews. MANY PEOPLE said after they bought a battery, it worked. So, we bought a battery and YEP!! IT WORKED!! Thankful! Just BUY THE BATTERY.

I bought this for my 2016 Ford Fusion. I took it to my Ford Dealership. They had to glue part of it that was broken. It could not be programmed to do all the features the original had. It will start the car only! You are better off paying the extra money and buy from the dealership

Works like the original, and ford makes DIY key programming easy if you have 2 keys that still work in the backup slot in the center console. Easy

I had a lock smith come to the car and program this key fob. It works perfectly, Ford 2015 Edge. I had two OEM Original Equipment Manufacturer key fobs which had electronically failed. Not dead batteries, rather dead Key Fobs. I found it impossible to program the new key and had to call in a lock smith. He plugged into the car's diagnostic system, read codes and was able to program the new key. $250 service call.
