This product does not work properly. It only further frustrates a child really wanting to learn to see. I wish I had the reviews before purchasing as I agree it is a total waste of money. Also, too bad we did not get around to finding this out until after the return limit had expired. I would not buy a product by the brand again. I would encourage you to add a few dollars and buy a small "real" machine instead. It is awful!!!!!!

Nice sewing machine
My daughter has been wanting to sew this is a great starter sewing machine. I found it in stores but its cheaper on Amazon. It's small and fits perfectly on her desk.

Not a good item.
I’m extremely disappointed. I gave this as a birthday present and it didn’t work. That’s so embarrassing. They should test this before they sell it.

This machine is possessed
I will be returning this. Very difficult for a 7 year old to use. On top of that, it runs by itself, literally. No one is pushing the pedal and the machine starts sewing by itself. Then when you do try to start it yourself it will not work. We put it back in the box and 15 minutes later it started sewing on its own, two rooms away in the box. Please send whatever is necessary to return this. I love amazon, and have only ever had to return one item that I ordered in error, but this product is ridculous.

Worst product ever
Disappointed! My daughter was so happy to see her gift to later be broken hearted. All she repeated was it doesn’t work mommy? It lasted a good 2 minutes before it decided not to sew anymore. No matter how many time I unwind the bobbin and rethread the needle (about an hour) it never again sew. Almost $40 wasted on this product and what a waste it was. The $$ paid for this was a freebie.
