Mid fold gets in the way?rather have container cap) and bamboo reversible + melamine with plastic bowls?** A: The fold definitely does not get in the way, and while I was also hesitant about the dark board at first, it's very nice once you get used to it. There is only one reason I might suggest against this board. The gold lines are painted onto the surface of the board, and there is no sealant over top of them. The lines on my board have already started to wear away in the center, and in the long run, I'm going to have to find a way to repaint them and seal the board properly, against future wear. Though I might just buy another one, and apply a coat of sealant right away, before use. **Q: Its a 'cherry veneer' but what is the material beneath the veneer? Is it particle board, or solid wood?
