Underneath the sofa cushion and between the seat part and the side of the recliner. I also placed one on top of the mattress and on the carpet to trap bed bugs. Well, not one was caught. There was even a bug a few inches from the BuggyBed walking freely. None of the traps caught even one bug. So for my experience with this product I give it zero stars. I do not recommend BuggyBeds. I had already cleaned out the bedbugs, so by the time I set it, I didn't catch any bedbugs. I think it might work if you use it only as a detector. **Q: How many traps are in a packag?e** A: I don’t remember. I threw them all out. They didn’t work. **Q: Can they be reused? i travel and spend only one night in each hotel. would i have to use a different one each night? that would get really expensive** A: The traps can definitely be reused. Once you open the plastic bag and they are exposed to air they start to work. When not in use simply keep them in an air tight container such as a zip lock or container with lid. They can last for several years if not exposed to air.
