Nerd SPEC Glasses

I used these years ago and got them out for another Halloween costume. The lenses were still in good shape with no scratches.

I bought these so I could dress up as a character (Bubbles) from a TV show (Trailer Park Boys) for Halloween. I was worried after reading reviews about the glasses being too small and falling apart but I found they fit just fine on my large head and held up well. The lens popped out once or twice after dropping them on the ground but otherwise they stayed in perfectly when I was wearing them. They don't really magnify your eyes like some pictures suggest on Amazon, but they do make you look silly (which was the idea). I wore them for nearly a day straight on Halloween and everyone loved my costume so these really did the trick! Plus they are dirt cheap so you might as well buy them if you're thinking about it.

Save your money. They came filthy and scratched like someone used them as a skateboard on asphalt. Definitely been used before. Lenses popped out immediately and the frames are too small for even my 2 year old niece. Didn’t even give the intended bug eye effect. Waste of time and money. If I could give negative stars I would. I tried to show the scratches but it looks like smudged finger prints. I cleaned the lenses with alcohol and a screen cloth so it’s definitely not dirt.

Shipped and arrived quickly! Perfect for costumes. This isn't the most stellar material, but it is sturdy and completes the nerd/googly eyed look. It also fits my head just fine, but could potentially be small for others. One downside is that wearing these gave me a slight headache since it distorts your vision. I took it off to refresh my eyes once every 10 minutes.

When I put these glasses on, I experience feelings I have never felt before (or at least since junior high). People actually pay attention to me! Some people laugh and smile, others seem to hurry away from me while a few look at me with what appears to be sadness. I don't ham it up with these glasses, I just put them on and go about my day. My friends ask me what I'm doing, and I reply "what are YOU doing?" And that ends that. They act like they don't see the attention I get from the ladies, but I know the truth. They're just jealous. I totally understand how Clark Kent operates now. Even though these so-called "nerd glasses" aren't real, they have their application in the real world. If you're in the market, I think you should get a pair.

for only a few bucks, there expected to break.. the glasses part came out and it was hard to put back in.. they were also to small to actually fit around my head :(

These glasses have a substantial feeling frame with good weighting and balance. However, the lenses are too difficult to see through to wear safely for any period of time. They are intended to replicate the 'thick lenses' in glasses worn by 'nerds' (thus the product description). So, most of the lens functions like a thick magnifying lens and the direct center of the lens remains 'clear' (without magnification). However, the quality of the plastic lens does not allow for clear viewing through its unmagnified center. The viewing center of the lens is blurry, non-uniform, and 'wavy' when looking through it. I attempted to return the glasses on account of the difficulty seeing through them, but Amazon did not allow for their return. I suspect that they are considered 'personal items' and thus excluded from the return policy. Lacking the ability to return these glasses, I actually removed and discarded the lenses. My child will wear the frames by themselves as they will serve their intended purposes anyway.

Not much I can say, but FUN! They are good quality for nerd glasses. I did my nerding around in comfort and without fear they would break. I will definitely be purchasing more as my nerdiness requires. Great for a gift too. My nerdy friends enjoyed my nerdy gesture.
