If so, how many clamps does it come with?** A: It came with 4 hose clamps, 2 smaller and 2 bigger. I needed the bigger ones since my downtube is fat. **Q: will it mount on a square tube?** A: The plate is a flat base that can be attached to directly to bottle eyelets or on the tubes of a bike using the clamps provided, it works on rounded tubes, there's no reason why it shouldn't work even better on a flat surface! **Q: Does it fit hailong 48v 18ah?** A: It does, I mounted my battery to the outside not the inside of the downtube because of the shock absorber is in the way, requiring two more velcro straps around the battery and downtube so I won't lose the battery over rough terrain. **Q: Will this work with a Joysi battery?** A: No. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solves a niche problem and does it very well *by on Reviewed in Canada 1 October 2025* It makes the Hailong-based batteries sit very tightly on the frame and allows you to adjust the vertical position, whereas previously due to the low position of the bottle screws you'd be forced to install the battery up-side down and it wouldn't sit very snug either. I am so happy this product exists!! I just converted my bike to an e-bike and there was no good way to attach the battery to the frame. It was too big for the water bottle holder area and I really didn’t want to drill holes into the bike frame. Especially with the extra weight the motor and battery added, I didn’t want to compromise the structural integrity of the bike.I ended up using electrical tape and a bunch of zip ties which didn’t look very good and didn’t hold well, the battery would keep slipping off-center. It also meant I wasn’t able to take the battery off to charge it or take it with me to prevent theft since the battery lock was obsolete (if someone wanted to steal my battery, all they had to do was cut through the tape and zip ties).I am so glad I found this product in my research, I was worried the holes wouldnt line up with the mounting plate of my battery since I didn’t order it through the same company, but it was perfect! The hold is super secure with the hose clamps and the battery feels very sturdy on it.My battery is pretty big and heavy and it attaches to the Bob with 3 small screws so hopefully it will hold up while bumping along the road. I feel much better now too that the hose clamps are much harder to get through than the zip ties and electrical tape if someone wanted to steal it, but now I have the option to take the whole battery with me if I’m that worried about it.
