Review: Fine for the price, but beware. - I bought these to hit a 150lb bag twice a week. They have two inches of cushion but the material that immediately meets your knuckles is stiff. I have a big middle knuckle and it hurts from the pressure that the material inside the glove exerts on it. To get around this I bought gauze tape that is 5.5 yards long and rolled up toilet paper to create another half inch to .75" to protect my knuckle. It hurts less, but I can feel it still. If you have the money, spend it on another more expensive but more protective glove. If you can wrap your hands well enough, this will be fine, especially for its price. Basically, what this glove fails to do is protect your knuckles well enough, not because it can't cushion the blows, but because the material inside the glove is too stiff.

I bought these to hit a 150lb bag twice a week. They have two inches of cushion but the material that immediately meets your knuckles is stiff. To get around this I bought gauze tape that is 5.5 yards long and rolled up toilet paper to create another half inch to .75" to protect my knuckle. It hurts less, but I can feel it still. If you have the money, spend it on another more expensive but more protective glove. If you can wrap your hands well enough, this will be fine, especially for its price. Wow these gloves are something else. I have two other pairs of gloves made by everlast and this glove is by far much better. At first I was a little disappointed with these because i had ordered the L/XL gloves which seemed really tight when I tried them on (with hand wraps) but after I went to go train my perspective on these gloves completely changed. Compared to my other gloves you can really tell the difference with their IMF (injected molded foam) and the tight grip of the gloves made for really solid striking. Unlike my other gloves which, use sort of an elastic to secure the glove, the "hook and loop" on these provide a firm wrap around the wrists/forearms and it's awesome. The leather (or whatever you would call it) is firms and slick and the quality is top. Esthetically you can see that these gloves look sleek and they look even better in person. One thing i did forget to mention, that i first noticed, is that there is a lot of thumb support and protection. I thought these gloves were going to be a lot heavier (looking at the pictures) but I really like the weight of the 12oz gloves! Although they aren't 16oz, its still adds that extra pressure of keeping your hands up after many rounds and lots of fatigue. Personally I am just getting into boxing and I have been using these gloves for a little over a week and I think they are fantastic. I definitely would recommend them to anyone! Ohhhh one more thing! The shipping was ridiculously fast! I ordered these in the standard (free) shipping (and I don't have prime anymore) but they arrived at my door within two days!
