Is this worth 2x the price of the Dremel 4000?

1. You are buying a package deal with attachments and accessories, not a bare tool.  Do price comparisons on bare tool.
2. You can buy the older Dremel 4000 for a bit less than the new Dremel 4300, however, the new 4300 has 3 excellent improvements: 0.2 amps stronger, LED light in front so you can see your work better, Chuckless collet so you don't need a wrench to add accessories or attachments to spindle.  These are huge improvements and well worth it.
3. All older accessories from 4000 will fit 4300.  A 'collet' is also provided for those that need it.  All attachments will fit.  The flex shaft tool will also fit.  Nothing is wasted.
4. Go with the new.  Change is inevitable.  Its called Progress.  Usually good.  In this case, it is good.

Listing is confusing, is the flex shaft, it comes with, different than the additional flex shaft with the kit?

The options are confusing. if i select tool only, will i still get the 9 /64 kit with all the accessories and flex shaft attachment?

Sorry about the confusion. Dremel does not sell the tool alone. We sell kits with less attachments and accessories but not the tool itself. The promotion is the kit which includes the Dremel 4300 tool with 9 attachments (the 225-01 flex shaft is included as one of the attachments) and 64 accessories for the $139.00.

Is there a grinder attachment that will cut stone tile?

The 4300 High Performance Rotary Tool could do some cutting in stone tile with a EZ545 diamond wheel (requires an EZ402 Mandrel).  We would also recommend considering a 575 Right Angle attachment to offset from the diameter of the tool when cutting.  This recommended wheels should be run in excess of 18,000 - 20,000 RPM and is designed to make small cuts in tile suitable for foot traffic.
