This product polishes, it’s really not rigged to remove abuse or time. 4. Be sure to have a nice quality plastic tub that can fit inside your whole sink. You will need a tub that can withstand boiling water for several uses. Also, be sure to have enough pots to boil enough water to cover all the pieces. I used 3 pots for a typical treatment. 5. In my case, especially with the pieces I have neglected, you might want to have silver polish on hand for your favorite silver to complete the job. The ornate piece in the photo is real silver. It was brown and highly tarnished but after a minute of dipping, it turned out beautifully. Imagine trying to polish that thing with paste. My wife filled half a regular sized bucket. She says don't waste your time, didn't work well. I was excited when I discovered this product… we all need to spend less time cleaning and more time living. I followed the instructions perfectly. I experimented with silver and silver plated pieces of all shapes and sizes with varying degrees of tarnish. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this product a one. Total waste of time and money. I already thought the product was pricy but now that I know it doesn’t work I can safely say it lacks value for the money. The process is inconvenient with having to put a bucket in the sink, keep all the pieces touching eachother or the sache, boil water then rinse with soap and water.
