The LS2 Valiant II 180-degree flip, modular motorcycle helmet. Building upon the success of the original Valiant, LS2 has again pushed the envelope of technological development. A newly designed chin bar mechanism is smaller and slimmer than the original, making for a more aerodynamic shell. The lightweight, aerodynamic shell is made from LS2's proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA). This proprietary material uses nanotechnology to blend microscopic particles of aramid fibers into a high-end polymer. This material is absolute state-of-the-art in energy management materials, offering a bit of built-in flexibility to disperse energy, the penetration resistance of high-end fiber products, and a lightweight shell. 2 shell sizes to allow for a perfect fit and the smallest shell possible. A full metal latch ures the chin bar will stay locked when closed, and an LS2 exclusive design keeps the chin bar securely in place at the back of the helmet when it is in the open position. The UV and scratch resistant shield uses optically correct Cl A polycarbonate and is PinLock ready for the maximum in fog protection. LS2 designed a new quick change shield mechanism for the Valiant II, making swapping shields a breeze. The Valiant II uses our Twin Shield System drop down sun shield. Its cable-operated switch is smooth, and easy to use even with a gloved hand. The removable, washable comfort padding uses breathable technical fabric, which is "Thermo-Formed." Our cheek pads use ultra-high-quality foam that is cut to shape using LS2’s 3D laser technology for all day comfort and no hot spots. Fully adjustable, flow through ventilation keeps you cool and more in control when the weather gets rough. Built in our own factory for the best value on the market. More helmet for less . LS2. Long oval fit. DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard, product also meets requirements imposed by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Review: So far I’m more than impressed with this helmet. The presentation was more than expected. Helmet sized backpack, helmet bag and included pinlock. Helmet is beautiful. White, black and titanium coloration with semi-visible glow-in-the-dark elements. Wore it in the sun and carried it inside a darker environment, and stripes were glowing. I have a 23 inch/59 cm long narrow head shape. I went with a large knowing from research this helmet was designed for a standard oval head shape. The fit is perfect. Not overly compressive, but not loose by any measure. Both shields optically correct. Modular mechanism is what drew me to this helmet. Standard modulars catch air and buffeting. This just turns into a modern 3/4. Easy to activate all features with summer gloved hand, including the ratcheted quick release chinstrap. Room for glasses wearers, I am, and blutooth ear buds. All in all, best helmet I’ve ever owned, compared to Icon and Scorpion full faces. If you’re sitting the fence on cost, spend the money. LS2 and MX Gear(distributor on desertcart) awesome. Thank you. Review: If I still rode motorcycles I would use this. It was easy to use and the interior sunshade and modular helmet and visor and everything worked as intended. I had a wreck on pavement at 55 mph and had no head injuries although the helmet took enough damage where The visors would not work anymore. It was still easy to remove because the helmet was slightly bent out of shape but the button to detach the face piece to make the helmet easier to remove still worked fine. Would recommend

Came with the side un glued. I've had to adjust it and try to make it work ever. Single. Time I take it off and put it back on. I'm really upset I wasted my money and nothing was done to correct this defect

Love this helmet! Quality product, fits great, not too heavy, feels fully protected with this helmet. Easy to operate. A bit pricey but well worth it

I really like this helmet. I had a single piece full face helmet for over 30 years but had always wanted a modular helmet. When I read that this one also had a built-in sun visor I decided to try it. I measured my head and it came to 59.75 cm so I bought the 59-60 (large) It was too tight so I returned it for the 61-62 ( x-large) cm. That fits better in the head and temple area, but is still a little snug in the cheeks, but not uncomfortable. These helmets are for oval heads ( I think) and mine is closer to circular. I almost went with the 2x, but you don't want the helmet loose on your head. While it seems to be a little noisier than my older Bell, it does seem to let in sound from cars coming up from behind. That weirded me out at first, but you get used to it. I have a full windshield so I don't get a lot of wind noise. If you ride without a windshield you may not hear the cars coming up. In any case, don't rely on that for making lane change decisions. I used the helmet a few times with the temperature in the 50 F and it was warm. You don't get a lot of air flow through the vents, but as I said I ride with a windshield.
