They arrived wrapped in plastic with white material at each cut end of the block. I emailed the company to inquire about this and they quickly replied that this was some of the cedar oil crystallizing. Once I got that clarified, I was happy with my purchase and the customer service was excellent. ### ⭐ Waste of $20 *by D***9 on Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2017* These blocks of wood had a delightful cedar scent when the package arrived.Upon opening I thought the perfect place would be in my chest of drawers.I put several in my sock drawer and in my unmentionables drawer , you get the idea. The following day upon gathering my daily wear, there was NO trace of cedar scent. I know the part about sanding to bring out the aroma. Didn't do much good. They were cedar blocks but a can of one dollar cedar scented air freshener would have been a much wiser investment and cheaper way to go ! Maybe these packages should have an experation date stamped on them... So it is important that the wood be untreated to absorb fresh oil and these are untreated.
