**Q: what size for a 38 - 40 waist**
A: I have a 37 inch waist, so for me a 36-38 is a good fit, it’s snug but not tight and I feel that’s what you want if say working out with weights, don’t see any shrinkage after washing, think this strap is a cut above any other strap I’ve used. If you are closer to a 40 inch waist I’d say maybe the XL is a better fit, you’re kind of on the end of a L and beginning of XL, hope this helps

**Q: Do the straps ride up in the back?**
A: No.

**Q: Is This Dishwasher Safe?**
A: never tried in the dishwasher I do put it in a mesh bag before putting in the washing machine

**Q: Does the waistband roll on people with bigger stomachs?**
A: It has not on me, very reliable as I’ve gained weight.
