Car Engine Piston Ring Compressor Tool & Piston Ring Pliers for Adjustable Safety Screws

This piston ring installer and removal kit is exactly what I needed for my small engine work and it makes a job that used to be awkward feel simple and precise; the plier and the compressor are both solidly made with nickel plated carbon steel that does not feel cheap and the vinyl dipped handles give a good grip when your hands are greasy, the spring mechanism on the pliers gives fine control so you can expand a ring without twisting it, and the adjustable range fits pistons from about 53mm up to 175mm so it covered everything I needed without buying multiple specialty tools, installation and removal went smoothly every time because the jaws hold the ring securely and the compressor plate compresses evenly, which kept the rings from snagging on the piston skirt, the threads and moving parts run cleanly with no wobble and the finish shows no signs of corrosion after a few uses in a dirty shop, the included wrench and adapter pieces mean you have everything to get started right away, the tool saved me time and prevented damage to rings and pistons compared to prying by hand, and for the price this kit is a bargain that performs like more expensive pro tools; if you work on small engines or rebuilding pistons this is a five star buy that I would recommend without hesitation.

This is a cheep set but, it does the work and will service your needs for the odd job or once in a while motor rebuild. Make sure to oil the unit when you put them away to help prevent rust. It can be a bit fiddly to use but works

Works as it should. No complaints. If you use it as you're supposed to, you will have no issues. Don't forget to use some sort of light Lube inside of the sleeve before trying to install your piston into your motor. Such as WD-40 or another spray oil as such. Ratchet works great on holding the Rings in. Removal tool for the Rings works just as it should. It is a cheap tool but it works fantastic for what you get.

Does the job and fairly priced

Solid kit for the price point the band does shift I’m not super stoked about that but it does the job. The casting on the screw could be better but it’s good enough and over all it’s held up for what I’ve needed
