This is a factory new part from China where these are made. I bought it to replace the USB-C jack in my 1st generation 11" iPad Pro, A2013. The original part had been damaged somehow, with one of the pin traces partly gone, leading to flaky connections and failure to work with some cables, and complete inability to recharge on any cable. The pin traces on this new one are perfect and gold plated on both sides for good connection longevity. Like any iPad service operation, the pad is basically glued together or assembled with tiny, very easy to lose screws, and requires you to heat the screen edges and carefully separate the screen from the frame and logic board to get to the USB-C connector. You don't need to deal with many of the screws to replace this connector, but the few you have to deal with are incredibly tiny and colored black, and if you drop one, you will never find it; it will bounce to somewhere between Venus and Mars. Apple is notorious about using identical screws of slightly different length, and so short that the threads only turn a couple of times in the hole, so tape every screw to an index card as you replace this part and note the EXACT hole it came from, otherwise if you mix them together, some will be too short and others will be too long, and you can't tell visually which one is which. If you are thinking "might as well replace the battery while I have it open", DON'T. The battery is buried under almost every other part (dumb design choice) and getting to it requires removing almost every other active part inside to get to it, including the logic board and cameras, and it is glued into the frame in multiple ways. Nightmare on Elm Street to replace it. Once you get the old part out, the new one will drop perfectly into its place. You will need to run a fingernail across the Kapton ribbon cable as it crosses over a raised part on the logic board just before it reaches the socket it plugs into, in order to create an "S" bend in the ribbon so that the connector attached to it is at a slightly lower level to be flat parallel to the socket on the logic board. Use the OLD part to see what this slight bend looks like; if you don't do this it will be harder to get the plug on this part to snap into the tiny socket. When you remove the old part, you will find that the screws on it, and the part itself, are holding down two TINY metal clips with holes the screws pass through, underneath the new part. These tiny clips are part of the USB-C socket as assembled, and intended to touch the sides of the metal sleeve of the USB-C cable connector as it is plugged in, and ground that metal to the frame of the iPad. They sit INSIDE two holes drilled Ito the iPad's metal frame; they are hard to see without a magnifier. You do NOT need to remove them to replace the connector. You only need to clamp them under the flange of the new connector, and replace the two screws holding the new part into position. The new part has a piece of blue plastic film under it's tiny circuit board, which covers a pad of adhesive, which glues the part to the circuit board, providing extra strength to fortify the position of the new part into the iPad. You should remove this blue cover film to expose the adhesive underneath as you insert it into the frame and align the two screw holes and the metal grounding clips over the threaded holes the two screws will go into. Once you have screwed and glued the new part into the IPad frame, then you can run your fingernail over the Kapton cable to create the "S" bend described above. The rest of the work is simply replacing all the ribbon cables into their sockets (easier said than done), and resealing the screen to the case to the extent you want to try and restore the factory glue glop at the edge of the screen. The iPad is not really watertight sealed anyway, as the various holes, USB-C connector, and buttons are not designed to be waterproof. When this is done you are finished. The new connector worked perfectly for me, so my rating is: Recommended, my highest rating. I want to thank this vendor for making this part available at such a reasonable price on Amazon, as it restored my iPad from an unusable brick to a rechargeable tablet computer.

So far, so good. I installed on my son’s iPad Pro 11 as his stopped charging. It is working and fully charged. I pray it lasts but at the 9 bucks, won’t be mad if I have to replace again considering Apple wants to charge $499 to fix and/or replace.

I bought my iPad pro 11 brand new in 2018. A couple weeks ago it would only charge with certain chargers and in certain positions. This fixed the issue completely and works with every usb charger I tried. Installation is difficult and you will almost definitely break your screen, but thats not this part’s fault.

These will charge and data transfer. These came and they were the second type of these I purchased. The other ones were returned because there was no data transfer. These worked as expected, and link to Apple Carplay!!

Works great for charging however earphone function is no longer working. So if charging is the only issue it’s good for the price but know you may lose ability to use plug in earbuds with this one.

Item came quick (Thank you, Amazon Prime). Replacing the USB-C port of my wife's iPad Pro 11 inch model A2013 made me wish having three strong hands with long slender fingers. But the replacement part works like a charm. Don't know about the long term durability (the original one lasted 5 years), but for now, the Mrs. is happy.

Charging port was damaged and replaced with this one and it worked perfectly with no issues.
