Looking for a real praying Mantis with everything they need to survive

Thank you for your inquiry.  This is a real LIVE mantis.  It is not an adult but a nymph which means it has more growing to do.  We send it with a 32 oz. container with vented lid and everything needed inside the cup for survival.  We also send fruit flies that they are eating now.  The fruit flies will only last for a short time as they will need to be replaced.  You can purchase fruit flies at a pet store or purchase them from us which is a much better deal.   In about 2 months, you will need to go up in size on the habitat.  We also have a great habitat available as your mantis reaches the adult size.

Is a 10 gallon tank to big? Also can other stick insects habitat in the tank with him?

As a general rule, the suggested height of the habitat is at least 3 x the mantis length and 2 x its width.   As the mantis grows, then the size of the habitat would need to increase.  Starting out with a smaller habitat based more on the size of the mantis allows your mantis to easily find its prey.  At the adult size would put the habitat somewhere in the range of 12" x 8" x 12".  This is an estimate.  The 10 gallon tank is more like 12" x 10" x 20" which is larger but not overly large.  The Praying Mantis can not share its habitat.
