Review: So nice, I bought it twice - I have two of these Sharp Atomic clocks and honestly love them. I really hate resetting clocks for daylight savings (why is that even still a thing?) and these set themselves. I have two notes though. The first is that they tend to set themselves in the middle of the night. I work nights, so looking up to find my clock spinning around like it's possessed is a little strange, even after several years. The other thing they both do is in the middle of the night, at the top of the hour like 1, 2, or 3 am, the second hand will stop at 12 for five or ten minutes. It still tracks minutes perfectly, but from :00 to :05 or :10, the second hand is frozen at 12. I have no idea why they do this, couldn't find anything about it anywhere on Google. But, it resumes and keeps perfect time, so it's just an oddity. I'm pretty sensitive to ticking noises, and I cannot hear this clock tick unless my head is right next to it and the room is quiet. 15 feet away on the wall, I don't hear it at night at all, ever. It's a good size I can see across a fairly large room in my home (open floorplan), but isn't enormous or anything. Very simple, classic looking, easy to read clock face too. I'm poor and $40 is a lot for a wall clock. But I don't have to get out a ladder and reset the damn thing twice a year and I find that cost was absolutely worth it to me.

**Q: Can the acrylic be removed to prevent glare?**
A: you could,but then dust would get into the clock's motor and shorting the life of the clock. try mounting it some where else to reduce the glare if you can. good luck!

A: I don’t think it will work in Hawaii. The time zone setting only has the continental US time zones.
