My 6 year old loves it. Only real downside is the lack of a kickstand, but the case is really easy to take off if you need to. Slide out the controllers as you normally would, then push the switch console/screen to one side and the case should easily flex enough to slide it out. 1 point to note - both my switches are special edition ones with back details. The Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee switch with the glossy back decals does seem to lose 99.9% of the finish, even though I have a clear back. You have to really look for it. Doesn't damage it at all, but the plastic material makes it hard to see through the case.
