I don't write many reviews, but I do rely on them. So, I thought I would give back. The door really deserves a 4.5 rating, but given the value, I chose 5 over 4. I was doing a dining room complete remodel. I replaced 5' wide French doors with this barn door bc the French swing took up too much floor space. I had to shrink the opening to 4' to accommodate the barn door slide in my room. I bought the 52" door, and was able to do all the work myself. I am a senior citizen, but have a linebacker build. I would not advise doing this large of a door by yourself. I would say the time required is going to be 4 to 8 hours depending on your skill level, and issues you may encounter.Pros:1. Price2. Value3. Sturdy4. Heavy5. Appearance6. Good instructions7. Ease of assembly8. Well PackagedCons:1. Tolerances, I followed the instructions precisely with precise measurements, and ended up with just 3/16" gap below the door instead of 3/8". So you can not install either guide below the door with just 3/16", which has been a real pain. I am going to use a modified corner bracket as the guide. The door pieces connect together uneven on the bottom making it worse. A solution might be to just plane the bottom of the door but it is MDF and I don't want to ruin my good blade, and worse it will disturb the appearance on the bottom face of the door which could be very hard to fix. If I had to do it over, I would have added at least an 1/8" to the instructions to raise the door up more and provide the necessary clearance.2. The slide rail holes are drilled at 16" on center which is great to carry the large load, except the rail is 108" and the minimum door slide is 104" so your odds of being able to hit a stud are less than 15%. This was not a problem for me since I had install ship lap on the wall, and used a 1x4 for the slide base. But this could be a real problem if you are counting on hitting the studs to carry the load.3. The door hit the base moulding on the wall, even with the 1x4 I had installed to serve as the rail base. I had to pull the moulding quarter round off, and plane it to make the door work. I don't really remember anything in the instructions about this potential stand off problem. There are no adjustments of any kind, hung is hung, in any direction.4. The rail comes in two pieces, and does not go together precisely, so like joining train rails together it is uneven at the connection which is right where the door needs to stop. So you have to tug the door a little harder to get it started. A bit annoying. A little better engineering/manufacturing could have avoided this problem.

Easy installation! Comes all in a small box, at first I thought it wasn’t all able to fit in it, the door assembly is super easy. Didn’t take long for my husband to hang the door, I love it!!!!

The barn door was super easy to put together and looks so great! Exactly what I needed for my master bathroom.

The media could not be loaded. This was a tough one to review, because I like the quality of the door and the hardware, but with one exception. The barn door has a slide guide at the bottom to keep it from hitting both the wall and falling off the track, giving it a smooth slide. The piece that came with the kit is worthless. It needs to be two sided, so I had to buy a separate one. Overall, the barn door accomplished our goal of separating the house at the hallway. It helped from a noise barrier as well as keeping pets in their living space. I also had to do some additional wall molding to frame it out nicely. Hope you like the video!

Beautiful door looks great and easy to install

If you aren't an avid do it yourselfer then this may not be for you. Lol it comes with detailed instructions but they arent easy to interpret at first. However it is a well built product. The door was surprisingly very heavy duty. Absolutely georgous once assembled. Did need help lifting it into the track.

Love this door. No. Painting. EVER. Have had this door for 3 years in a condo rental bunk room. It looks like new. Hardware was included.I would recommend to my kids, friends.
