How to use this as a 12V trigger? This cable has 3 wires (green, white and a copper wire). My screen connector has orange (hot) and green wire

Your question is not very clear. The cable has connectors at both ends, so if you are seeing the wires, you must have cut the cable. If so, the copper wire is typically a shield, and the other two wires carry the hot (12V) and the Ground reference. To determine the hot wire plug the connector at the trigger source and measure the voltage with volt meter. Place read volt meter wire on one wire and black on the other. Observe the polarity of reading. If positive (+) then wire on the red is the hot. If negative (-) then wire on black is the hot and the other wire is the ground. In most application the shield can be left floating (not connected). Hope that helps.

If I connect my Sonos Port to my Marantz receiver, will this allow me to turn the music on directly from Sonos app?

This cable is designed to just send an electrical impulse from the Port to the receiver to turn on the receiver. It does not carry any musical data. If you already have the Port connected to the receiver via RCA or optical and the receiver is on the proper input then it should work. Turning off the Port should then also turn off the receiver.
