will this hold a Nintendo Switch?

Hello! Thank you for your inquiry! The height of the switch will be 4" so that's will be too short, unfortunately, as it needs to at least be 7.5" tall to work with the MOUNT-UVM02. VIVO Customer Support

Will this hold my 13” macbook pro if i place it horizontal and flat?

This Adapter extends out to just over 10", so a horizontal fitment, with it closed should work no problem assuming you intend to place it with the long ends on the holder arms. It won't work with the device fully open in working format as the arms are tilted inward to better hold a tablet or 2 in 1. You could use it as a type of docking station to hold your laptop so it's not taking room on your desk. I place my Surface pro in it landscape and it works perfectly.
