What a good read.... happy that it was a complete series with no dreaded cliffhangersI did however have some small issues reading this series along the way. I won't say too much because I may give something away, so don't want to spoil your read. But will say....Sam was broken and sad before Slade, just going through life monotone, working jobs she didn't like even though she had the money to do whatever made her happy.Slade was a successful, handsome man-who're, only looking out for himself.But Sam changed his world and he also changed hers. A true love story...but I had a LOVE / HATE relationship with Slade while I read this book.He transformed into a one woman man once he met Sam. His love for her was evident, he was often sweet, but also controlling, sometimes it seemed more like she was his doll to play with, a possession or his sex slave. Their scenes got a little too intense as they explored boundaries. His dominant side often seemed angry, hateful & scary and I found her submission was even more troubling because she welcomed and liked his roughness & the pain he induced.Story dragged at points with too many sex scenes between Sam & Slade in the process to unravel the plots to identify the person trying to harm Sam/Slade which started in book1, into the 3rd book. Also dragging the reveal of the scripted secrets Sam's childhood friend "Tate" was keeping secret. But when it all starts to unravel -WOW- I couldn't stop reading. So get your eye drops and tissues cause you won't be able to put the book down.This story was so touching. Plot line offered drama, hot sex, drama, intrigue, hot sex, drama, suspense, forever love, more drama, hope, more love, more drama, more suspense, a great family & great group of friends, all who regardless of their ups/downs shared a funny banter, sticking together, loving & supporting one another among all the drama.So I totally recommend this series. What a great series, so much going on and it slowly comes together piece by piece. Characters are fun, hilarious and annoying at times which means they are written well. The story is interesting and keeps you turning the page to fond out the next parts. Some of the instant love is a bit cheesy but you can't have everything!
