Anything like our standard iBeacon protocol beacon or any other iBeacon here on Amazon will NOT work because we are all broadcasting the "Apple" manufacturer ID code at the beginning of our beacon broadcasts; also our broadcast format is standard iBeacon, not what you need. You need something that broadcasts a custom set of IDs; that can't be done with regular iBeacons. If you are a bit techy, you could use an ESP32 to accomplish this goal; you can order them here on Amazon for cheap. You would need to download a beacon sketch for it, and then customize the sketch to broadcast the custom IDs that the droids recognize. No guarantees, but I found some random person on the internet that said the following: "You can try Manufacturer Id <0x0183>, with Manufacturer Data 0x-03-04-44-81-82-01 for an R-series, or 0x-03-04-44-81-82-02 for a BB-series. Note that they're not actually beacons - they're advertised as a non-connectable BLE peripheral with no GATT services.
