Use a lower voltage if possible.
I had trouble with the first two that I purchased. I powered them with continuous 12 VDC and they lasted 5-10 mins. I returned those and purchased two more. I powered them with 5 VDC (75mA operating current) and they have been operating flawlessly.

Doesn't last long
Works for a bit, but burns out after a few uses. Bought 2 and both have since stopped working just after 20 or so runs! 12V input was const per guidelines.

Burned out after 5 minutes at 12V
The resin it was potted in was all sticky and gooey, and it burned out after 5 minutes of use. Seller should specify that it's not meant for continuous function. Either that or maybe it's not meant to run at 12 volts. The packaging didn't specify 12 volts only the product listing did. I didn't try 5 volts to see if it would work but if you get this module try it at 5 volts first and see if that's good enough.
