The Lock-it Block-it was born when my wife and I locked ourselves out of the house. I pried open the front window and popped out the screen. In less than 30 seconds, I quietly broke into my own home. I was struck with fear and guilt for our girls. After this experience, I built the Lock-it Block-it. This robust and reliable security device allowed us to keep our windows open and secured at a safe height of no more than 5 to 6 inches. Review: Works beautifully, feel safe! - I purchased this as I love having my windows open during the day, and night, but where I am renting they don't have locks that allow you to only open it a few inches. I wanted to be able to leave them open while still feeling safe. These are everything I could have asked for and more. I was worried about a few of the reviews saying the sticky tape wore down and it rendered them useless, but what I think they did was only use one of the tapes given. You need to use all of the tape - three for each item! They will NOT move at all once you do that. I've been able to have my windows open throughout the day and night, get some fresh air blowing through, without the worry of someone breaking in. I didn't really want to spend the money initially, but these are well worth the price. Piece of mind is priceless, safety is priceless. This company seems to be high quality and I'm thankful for my purchase. 10/10!

I purchased this as I love having my windows open during the day, and night, but where I am renting they don't have locks that allow you to only open it a few inches. I wanted to be able to leave them open while still feeling safe. These are everything I could have asked for and more. I was worried about a few of the reviews saying the sticky tape wore down and it rendered them useless, but what I think they did was only use one of the tapes given. You need to use all of the tape - three for each item! They will NOT move at all once you do that. I've been able to have my windows open throughout the day and night, get some fresh air blowing through, without the worry of someone breaking in.
