    Crazy Adventure is a Great Story!

A bit of a forewarning- this is a facsimile retro comic written to seem old and incomplete.  It is 'incomplete' for the added effect.  In this book is a collected single story of 84 different full-page comic spreads in a newspaper comic sort of layout where there is a gag a day with each gag adding something to the overall story.  As mentioned above, this story is incomplete but there are enough parts of the story that you can fill in the gaps very easily.The artwork and writing are delightful and the main characters, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, are given looser personalities that allow them a little wiggle room to act a little more rough with each other, something that is out of character considering the myriad works that featured these characters over the years.  In a way, this story is a hearkening back to old iterations of the character of Donald and Mickey as seen by Bob Karp, Al Taliaferro and Floyd Gottfredson.  They seem just a little bit more flawed than they have been in more recent depictions.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Disney comics, light stories, and/or comedy, and definitely would recommend this to parents who want to give some entertaining reading material to their children.  It would also be a great book to read to small children- kid friendly!

First off, my sympathy goes out to those who purchased this book without any understanding of what it is. As has already been mentioned, it is all faux material, and not meant to be read as a complete comic.That out of the way, this is one of the most beautiful Disney comic releases I've seen in a while. I love the overall look of the comic, I'm particular fond of the muted color palette used. While the story is nothing groundbreaking, there are lots of good laughs throughout. All in all, a really fun read. I hope someone comes across another 'lost' series.

From absolutely stellar artwork to some fantasticly great jokes, every page was a gift.Lewis Trondheim and Nicolas Keramidas really did a fantastic job in capturing that 'long lost comic' feel and in telling a comprehensive story in broken up pieces.
