There were many choices, and this wasn't the cheapest, but it was the size I wanted. I use a roast rack at least weekly, not just for turkeys and large cuts but also for two-person round roasts, for ordinary roast chicken, for pork loin, and many other foods that I don't want to have to cook in a large roasting pan. The item name describes this as a small nonstick rack, but it isn't really small. It completely fills a normal sized 10x13 cake pan. I do think it would hold an average turkey too, and also most hams, including big ones. The label specifies using a soft cloth or sponge to clean, because steel wool, etc. will scrape off the non stick coating. However, it doesn't take much scrubbing to clean this, because the nonstick surface is a quality one. I think this item was sized to fit into a specific calphalon pan, but it fits into my standard pan, is sturdy and has very thoughtfully placed handles. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ PERFECT Calphalon Roasting Rack *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 14, 2013* I saw this same rack on another site for $22 plus $5.95 shipping so, of course, I came back to Amazon and paid $19 with free 2-day shipping as a Prime Member. There are three noticeable places where the forging, or connection, shows which give me pause and I hope won't be a problem in cleaning. Of course, even Calphalon has their products made in China now so if I get lead poisoning from my roasting rack, so be it. Otherwise, this is a great rack, a perfect size for me, is exactly what I wanted, and it is in addition to the same size v-shape non-stick rack that I already have. The v-shape non-stick rack is cleaned in my dishwasher and I expect this one will be as well even though instructions suggest warm soapy water. That may work one or two times but after the rack has been sitting in a roasting pan for a few hours, it WILL go into the dishwasher. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What I've been looking for *by T***A on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on July 14, 2007* I've been looking for the perfect roasting rack for some time now and this is it. It's heavy weight and the entirely covered in a smooth, non-stick coating. The lifting handles are fixed in place but quite generous, allowing room for an oven mitt on your hand. I really like that the "ribs" are thick but widely spaced. They still support your food well but fewer "ribs" are easier to clean when you're done, although it is dishwasher-safe. Definitely the quality you expect from Calphalon. This rack comes in 2 sizes (this is the smaller one) and I bought both as I wanted the larger one for cooking ribs and large pork loins. Since the lifting handles are fixed (they don't fold down) be sure to measure the roasting pan you will be using to make sure this will fit.
