This is the only dishwasher detergent anyone should ever buy. It is the best value. It is in the most ecologically friendly packaging. You are paying only for the soap, not for water, not for a package, not for any other marketing ploy. It works fantastically. Use a rinse aid as well and your dishes and glasses will sparkle, no residue, fine scent. I use it to wash crystal and fine china on a low heat setting. I trust my china which cost over $750/place setting in the 1990s to this. It angers me that I cannot find it in physical, brick and mortar stores anymore and that people are buying pods and liquid detergents in plastic instead. All of that stuff is a ripoff.

Better than pods cheaper than pods and no plastic. I peel off shiny foil paper and recycle the cardboard box doing my little part. By the way the powder cleans great. Just fill the compartment a less and shut the cover. This was a go to back in the day and it’s still the best

Cascade Complete powder is all I use anymore. I was using the pods but they are so expensive and while the plastic does dissolve, it can gum up the dishwasher's filter over time. Cascade powder actually helps keep the filter clean. And you can regulate how much you use so if you're not doing a full load, you can use less powder. You can't use less of a plastic pod. The pods also skip the pre-wash cycle so all the dishes get is hot water, not soap during the first cycle. Powder wins again. Powder also comes in a cardboard box, so less plastic overall. But powders are disappearing. You can't find any of the other major brands in anything but pods anymore. Most store-brand powders are history too. Pretty much Cascade and Walmart's Great Value are the only powders left. And Cascade powder costs a whopping 9 cents a load (for a full dishwasher load). Nine. Cents. A. Load. You absolutely can't beat the price. And it just works. My dishes come out spotless. Pots and pans, clean. Casserole dish, clean. That bowl that stuck to the plate that had pancake syrup because you forgot and left them both in the sink? Both clean (and separated). Powder detergent rules. Use it while you still can.

Decent economy dishwasher detergent. As indicated, this is the powder stuff, not the capsules. It gets my dishes clean, though it can sometimes streak on them, and with multiple uses, some casing definitely builds up on my dishwasher; you'll want to run the dishwasher cleaner occasionally. Otherwise, plenty good enough.

How can you beat the low, low, low price of this Cascade DW powder? You can't. It's so good at cleaning, and only 9¢ per ounce! I'm guessing it's approximately 9¢ per regular full load (2 Tbl = 1 ounce). Look at the (micro)plastic wrapped pods' prices. That's a BIG difference just to not have to pour it out. Seems silly to me. Here are some tips: I have very hard water in my rental, no water softener. Often there will be a film that vinegar can get rid of, by hand washing after, but who wants to do that? Not me. Trying to justify the more expensive DW detergents I looked at their ingredients. Huh - they simply add "Citric acid"! Then charge 3x the price ! Citric acid is inexpensive, made from the peels of citrus like lemon, grapefruit, etc., so it's also environmentally friendly, and so it's also less chemicals in our homes and Mother Earth. I buy that in powder form (a wind Mill pictured on front of package) and add about 1-2 teaspoons, basically just covering the bottoms of the soap and prewash pockets. (There's lots of other uses for citric acid BTW). Then fill the rest of the pockets with Cascade powder (using less or more depending on how dirty &/or how many items there are). Perfect! Glasses are clear and dishes sparkle, everything is clean! Now, 1 reason we're buying powder is to eliminate Plastic right? Another is to better regulate the amount of DW detergent we use per the type & size of load, but also... Ever have a pot or pan that, oops! got burnt crud on the bottom somehow? Simply put some Cascade in it, a spoonful or so, fill with enough hot water to cover burnt areas and soak overnight. It'll be so easy to clean in the a.m.! If it's really bad, or it didn't clean it completely, do same but boil the water & Cascade for 10 minutes B4 leaving it to soak a minimum of a few hours, best overnight. You'll be amazed! How are people getting the DW powder wet?!? (a few reviews complain about clumping...). They can't pour apparently (even tho any spillage will simply do the prewash bit) and the wrapped cardboard container (again, not plastic, yay!) surely will get wet if lots of water/liquid gets on it. If it's sitting in liquids obviously the detergent will then get wet also and ultimately dry in clumps, not powder anymore. Huh??? What are they doing getting it so wet in the 1st place? Don't understand this basic logic, unless maybe they're trying to justify the $$$ cost of plastic pods to cover their laziness and lack of basic skills? Seems easy enough to me to keep it dry. And takes what? a few extra *seconds* to pour vs throwing in a plastic pod. And believe me, I am no Suzy Homemaker. All in all, at 1/10 - 1/3 of the price of plastic wrapped pods, even with the additional citric acid, you just can't beat Cascade powder! I won't use anything else. Highly recommend!

I received this box of Cascade Complete Powder Dishwasher Detergent, Fresh Scent, 75 oz, White two days ago. This is a rebuy of a winner in our household. We have been using this Cascade powder dishwasher detergent for many years. It gets the job done. It does not leave any streaks on the dishes or glassware. Our dishwasher is an older model. However the Cascade still performs like a champ. I have also tried the packets of detergent. I have not noticed a difference in performance. they both get the dishes clean.

Love the powder version. No other brand actually cleans dishes like this. Love.

Why is it so hard to find powdered dishwasher detergent in shops nowadays?! Anyway, I’m happy with this detergent, it works well and importantly I can adjust the dose depending on the load. The fragrance is subtle and not overwhelming which is a plus.

Dish washer powder soap and i like it as opposed to pods as you can use as much and as little as you need! with pods very expensive because you use 1 in very small loads!

I find powder dishwasher soap is the most economical and effective, because if I have a light or small load I can use just a bit of the soap. With those hard things you are forced to use one each time whether you need that quantity or not. I can't even find this powdered stuff in my supermarkets! We are being pushed to use more expensive and wasteful things so someone else can get rich over us being wasteful by necessity. Ridiculous.

Not yet used it, but this seems to be a great brand. And my experiences is mainly with the dishwasher pods.
