One has cans of soup, varies foods and full glass bottles in them. I would say they can hold some pretty hefty items well. I read one reviwer uses them to store books in. **Q: This purchase is absurd...One can purchase these "exact" same items at $$$Tree for $1.25 each!!!** A: The ones at $tree have really flimsy handles,I have a set and they’re ok if you’re not using them daily.
