Review: This pad is fantastic for emulators.. Works on Windows (requires Saitek CD software to be installed), and works on Linux too (no CD required) .. Couldn't get force feedback to work on Linux .. But the analog sticks are great - more freedom of movement than most.. The only downside is - only 2 shoulders buttons..
Review: Really nice grip. The 6 buttons on the right make this controller VERY emulator worthy, whether the emulator would be Sega Genesis/Megadrive, SNES, NES, GB, GBA, N64, Gamecube, or even Playstation. As far as modern games though, I'm not entirely sure if I'd recommend this, if you're mostly used to the r1 and l1 being on the right and left shoulder brackets instead of the place close to the 4 buttons on the right side. It may be an older controller, but it's still very VERY usable.

Bought this pad in 2004 and 5 years later it is still going strong. I use it mostly for driving games, getting the full steering wheel thing is a bit to much for me, and it works pretty well for most occasions. I do miss the trigger buttons of the X-Box controller, so that might be a better way to go, but apart from that this is a very good piece of kit.
