Nalgene HDPE Wide Mouth Round Container

I bought a whole bunch of Nalgene HDPE bottles, in different sizes, mainly for camping and hiking:30ml (1oz) and 60ml (2oz) for spices and dried herbs;125ml (4oz) and 250ml (8oz) for ground coffee/dried onions/nuts, almonds and dates/cooking oil;and 500ml (16oz) and 1litre (32oz) for rice, lentils, pasta and other dry foods.So far I'm really pleased, the sizes are perfect and they seem high quality.My new camping spice kit is perfect!I'm attaching photos of all the bottles so you can get a sense of the different sizes (in the photos - the 30ml one is filled with ground ginger, and the 60ml one in filled with ground black pepper. that's why they seem "dirty").(I'm attaching 10 photos, hope all of them will be attached to this comment)

I use them in my son's lunch box. Holds just the right amount of milk for his lunch. I add a small amount of milk to the bottle and then freeze. In the morning I fill it up the rest of the way with milk and by lunch time the frozen part is melted but the milk is still cold. We rinse it out after school and refreeze-no waste! I've done this many, many times and the bottles are still in perfect condition and never leak.

These are NOT Nalgene containers.They are some kind of cheep imitation made by a company named Polylab. For most people that's probably not an issue, but if you need Nalgene DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT!

I live near mountains and over the course of a month I will travel through elevations ranging from 5500' to 1200' above sea level. After all of my ink bottles (from the manufacturers) leaked, luckily into plastic bags, I decided to look for a better option. These bottles are perfect for traveling with fountain pen ink! I still keep them in a single bag, compared to 3 bags I used for previous bottles, but they haven't leaked at all in the months I've been using them.

This is my second time ordering this item. I use this bottle to carry water for urban sketching with watercolors. It turns out to be the perfect size for me for this purpose and I have used it almost daily and it has never leaked when being accidentally turned over in my bag. When using it on location it is stable sitting on the ground, in wind, etc. I am using it for a pretty specific purpose and I’ve been super happy with it which is why I ordered a second one to have around.

Wouldnt buy again unless you're using to store non food items...I Love the size, and how sturdy this bottle is but it has a TERRIBLE smell.I use it as a water bottle, just so I always have water on hand but I'm having a hard time getting past the smell.It smells like strong chemicals.

I use the 1oz size to protect the spare li-ion 16340 battery for my Fenix headlamp while I'm backpacking. I keep a small silica gel pack in with it just to be safe from any possible condensation. The 1oz Nalgene container is the perfect size to hold one battery and the gel pack. It never leaks, plus it keeps me from losing the battery in my backpack.I also use these sometimes for pills, salt & pepper for cooking, camp soap, shampoo, and any other number of things I need to keep from leaking out, or getting leaked on.

I need airtight jars for liquid chemicals (the concentration of solution would strengthen if they evaporated at all.). I put a little water in all these jars (just enough to see a drop through the translucent material, and hear it when I shake it.) I let them sit on the counter for 2-3 weeks. They didn't evaporate. So, they're airtight.The only complaint I have is that these Nalgene ads (not just this one) aren't very informative. They show the same photo for all the jar sizes. Whoever creates these ads doesn't put much effort into them. I took the attached photo of the jars I bought. The squat/fat 1oz jar was in a different Amazon ad. (You can search Amazon for that ASIN number to find it.). The other five jars came from this ad. This ad lists two 4oz jars, but no indication of what the difference is. I bought the 4 fluid oz (approx 120ml) version of this to carry methlyated spirits for a  TOMSHOO Outdoor Titanium Alcohol Stove . The stove itself holds 2 fluid oz for about 20minute burn time but it doens't have a lid so the practical option is to burn to empty. This then allows me two decent length boil times for drink plus meal rehydration in the great outdoors. The nalgene container isn't the absolute lightest way - or cheapest way (obviously) of carrying the fuel but as the chance of fuel spill in my pack is unacceptable, this is an excellent way of carrying a small amount of burning alcohol in relative safety. It really doesn't leak, is reassuringly solid and its easy to see how much of the purple-tinted meths I have left.Obviously, now I've got meths in it I won't be using it for anything else but it could be ideal for other small quantities of fluids for travel / backpacking. Note the 4oz is too big for the air-travel 100ml per item restriction.It takes marker pen reasonably well too so I can label what I've put in it.Ideal for my purposes. Use these for meth spirt containers for my Trangia burner. No leeks and are solid enough I have no worries about them popping are anything like that. Great buy

Need a small amount of fuel or a small amount of Olive Oil or a small amount of anything really - brilliant piece of kit.

Purchased to replace identical container that had lasted for over 20 years. Delighted to have found it’s replacement.
