Mr. Clean used to have a combo sponge eraser which held up well, but I think they discontinued that. Their other erasers go bad quickly even the better ones. I am very please with the extra durable eraser sponge and the price is good. They hold up better than any of Mr. Clean's products. **Q: can I use this on stainless steel kitchen appliances?** A: I have used it on my stainless steel sink with no problem. I’d say, try it. It won’t hurt anything as far as I can see and constantly surprises me about what it can do....have been using the same one for at least a month and it is still holding strong...no fading away like “the competition” **Q: Will these take pen and marker off my walls?** A: I’ve had success with acetone nail polish remover. The wall had a slight gloss, not a totally matte finish. Test in an unseen spot first. But I even got black sharpie off an American Girl Doll with one of these and the nail polish remover.
