It slipped from the device and I scratched a deep gash into my hand. OK, ok, I am probably a klutz - but still, understand that the ear cushions are GLUED to the frame, so you will have to slip something you can leverage between the sticky stuff and the frame. I used a butter knife. I needed more leverage than the provided tool allowed. Anyway, once I was able to pry the originals off, it was easy to install the new ear pads.
