The paper quality of the penguin classic is good. They are taking extra charges to keep the book not damaged but it's still some damaged

Page quality, thin paper
Terrible packaging, just threw the book into the box along with another product without any paper or plastic wrap, also the paper quality seem worse than mass market paperback as the texture and colour of pages are worse than any book Ive ever bought. Can’t even return as there is no option available for!

binding was curved
bit of scratches but was acceptable. But there is a problem with binding, its curved as a banana and difficult to even open. Also i can tell the pages were of cheap quality as i own more than 25 of these penguin classic books and they all had a bit yellowish, rough and much better pages then this book. But still good and go for it if at good price range

The book was in the best condition ever. if u just ignore sm scratches on the cover, which aren't very visible. I'll say twin, replace it till u get a good copy, period.

Well worth reading even if you’ve already seen the films
Having only watched the film versions of The Count of Monte Cristo, I wasn’t sure how much of the book would be new to me. Turns out there was a good deal of backstory I knew nothing about. That was probably the biggest surprise and made it well worth picking up rather than assuming I already knew the story. The language is older and more formal than a modern novel, but I had no trouble with it. Younger teens might find it takes a bit more getting used to, depending on what they normally read. It didn’t spoil the experience for me at all. My copy arrived well packaged. This is one I’ll be holding onto permanently, and I’m glad I finally read it instead of just sticking with the films.

Capolavoro, ma e' veramente la famosa versione non censurata? ho qualche dubbio.
Ovviamente come sappiamo e' un capolavoro. Sebbene dubito che sia veramente una versione integrale e senza censure, in quanto avevo sentito parlare di temi clerici censurati che non ho veramente visto. Ma non essendo sicuro lascio 5 stelle.
