If you remove the float and then remove the arm - it pushes in and down to remove - you will find a small round seal in the plastic that presses on the inlet when the float comes to the top. Carefully remove it and add a smear of Vaseline all over and pop it back in upside down. You need a new one but turning it over should give the same result. Took 5 mins to do and I would argue anyone is capable of sorting. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fixes a broken top-up system *by P***S on 26 July 2022* If I had known at the time I bought the small drinking trough for my hen run just how feeble the top-up system was manufactured I would have bought something else. Torbak valves are an abomination but this diaphragm did fix the original valve in the drinking trough so it did what it is designed to do. How long it will last is anyone's guess and next time I install a drinking trough I'm going for a standard ball valve with brass fittings. Plastic fittings are a very bad idea wherever pressure and water are involved....
