It keeps water out when you're in the rain, thankfully, so nothing get wet, and I never had any problems with getting the strap over my head, since it was long enough, but not too long. This thing is very light, too. My only problem, was that it didnt quite have enough room for my camera and Lense, when it came to my 75-300mm lense.
