These small lightbulbs were used to replace an old burnt out non-halogen incandescent bulb of the same shape and size and voltage in an REI waterproof headlight... (slightly different amperage draws, but totally electrically compatible......) BUT physically these new bulbs do NOT have a perfectly smooth circumference around their body, making them hard to fit into the spring-shaped socket of the old headlamp. I don't know if other brands now available are made without the solder-bump on the outside, but be aware that you may have to use more force than expected to get these into your device. (again, they work, they were relatively cheap, but they are not made to the same tolerances / craftsmanship as the original bulbs were made ~15 years ago.)

They are exactly what they’re supposed to be and work well

I bought these to replace a burned out bulb on a flashlight that uses 4 "D" batteries. The new bulbs fit perfectly and are just as bright as the original one. I would recommend these if this is the type you need. I would advise you to take the flashlight apart and see what type replacement bulb you need. Happy fixing!!

I bought different krypton bulbs for 2 cell, 3 cell, 4 cell and 6 cell Mag Instruments lights the bases of the bulbs all have the same 4.8 volt .75 Amp ratings on them. I guess if I want close to the brightness of the O.E. Krypton, I will be stuck with LEDs.
