This book by Paul Johnson is a virtual feast of his popular pop-up workshops. With well-diagrammed illustrations and easy to follow directions, this is a complete manual for creating most of Paul Johnson's magical three-dimensional structures. From the easy to the more challenging, this book takes one from beginning to end building on previous structures to teach and direct the reader/student in the world of pop-ups. There are also innovative hinging structures such as the mortise and tenon that Paul Johnson uses that are unique to his works. This is a must-have book for the beginning or serious paper engineer to add to their library. And, if you have the chance, get to view his works via his website at http://www.bookart.co.uk/!

The book is perfect for someone who is teaching children or who wishes to involve children in creating paper sculptures with pop-up features.For myself, I didn't find it as instructive for an adult class contrary to what other reviewers had indicated.I still think the book has value just not for my needs.
