Review: Great! - Ok, we have the wired version of this (you can also wire this one in, if you wish) but this one I got for my mom after my dad passed away from cancer. She didn't have a doorbell and sometimes some neighbor kids would do pranks, and also my parent's catalytic converter got stolen off of their vehicles a while back. It was very stressful. (Ours did too, and we had to stay in town a few extra days to get one installed so that we could drive home.) While the doorbell won't prevent crime, it is very helpful to police officers. It is also a nice deterrent having this because when criminals see a ramp at an older person's house, they think easy target. This makes them a less easy target. I'm able to check on things for her, as are my brothers that live a very short distance away from her. It gives her peace of mind, and I was able to fulfill the promise to my dad ( even if I couldn't get it done before he passed away like he had hoped). We installed one of these on our home after trying 3 others, this is the ONLY one I would recommend (this one or the wired version, both are excellent). The thing to keep in mind with this unit if you utilized the battery (and don't wire it in) is you will need to charge it every 30-90 days, depending on how you use it. When you stream the video, you use that battery. When motion is detected, it uses the battery. The sensitivity level, will use more or less battery accordingly. Now, with 5 people at the time using the doorbell, it was going to be charge roughly in about 30-32 days. But now the way we have it set up, even with high sensitivity, and the newness has worn off for my brothers (lol) we only access it ourselves as needed, and the battery is easily lasting closer to the 90 days mark. I haven't checked to see if it lasted longer, but mom is charging it then anyways. The recent updates have also helped with false notifications like "your package was picked up" or "you have a package" when neither case was true. So if you read other reviews, this is fixed. The only false notifications is during really heavy busy storms, and even then it is rare. I also have a palm tree at my door so it looks like someone is running across the porch when there isn't anyone, so I do no blame the app at all. I'd rather be notified for the bad storm if I'm away anyway, so I can have someone check on my place when it passes. So I can't give this any higher praise. We own a lot of eufy products and they are all great quality. They are also related to ANKR, and we have been using ANKR for over a decade both personally and professionally. They have a great support team too. Neither of us have needed to use support for the doorbells or in the last few years, but they have a proven track record. REMEMBER, be NICE. Kindness goes a long way. No matter how frustrated you are, the person on the other end did NOT do anything to you. They are there to help you. For 150 on sale not bad value for this. Love not needing a subscription for it. And the base is loud enough to hear throughout downstairs. I love being able to see when packages are delivered and see where they are. Will update is needed.

I bought the Eufy video doorbell after having great success w the Eufy solar powered exterior cameras. I have not been disappointed. The two camera set up lets you see packages dropped off at ground level and the upper camera lets you see who is at the door. I replaced an old doorbell that was basicybuilt into stonework on my 1920’s home. Make sure you have the proper drill bits to install (concrete, stucco, wood etc.) it’s a straight forward setup and I am not a dyi’er at all! You can customize settings for recording time, doorbell chimes, recording zones etc. only complaint is it isn’t always quick to pick up on people approaching the door. However reading other brand reviews this seemed fairly common. You can save customized messages or choose from several prerecorded options. Or, just look thru your smart phone app to see who’s there and just avoid getting up and dealing with them if you don’t want to be bothered. No monitoring fees! Nice picture quality, two cameras for better viewing, I’m definitely happy with the purchase. Also hooking up to existing wiring allows the doorbell to get a constant trickle charge so I gave yet to need to take the doorbell off and charge it. It’s basically always at 100% charged.
